FATEA Awards 'The Lament of The Black Sheep' Album of the Year
This time last year, I was awarded FATEA magazine’s prestigious ‘Female Vocalist of The Year’, it was the beginnings of what was to be an incredible year and was a stepping stone which very much paved the way to the decision to record ‘The Lament of The Black Sheep’.
I sit here now, just a year later, having been awarded FATEA magazine’s ‘Album of the Year’ for the very album their awards gave me the confidence to record! Wow! What a year!
I want to say a HUGE thank you to the whole FATEA magazine team for everything that they do to support the folk and acoustic scene. I am both thrilled and honoured to have been given this award and would like to congratulate all of the other nominees and award winners this year, you can find them here;

If you haven’t listened to the award show then I would highly recommend that you do… all the cream of the year - songs played back to back, it really was a show of the highest quality music, Listen here;

Oh, and my lovely husband was kind enough to film my reaction when I heard I was given the award. As you will be able to see from this video… I totally styled it out ;)
