Hello my lovely folky friends!
I hope you're all enjoying this rather wonderful wet-and-windy February :)
Touring for 2018 has started! WOOO!
The first two concerts of the year were amazing. Saffron Hall was a great way to start the year - a beautiful audience, a sold out room, a wonderful support artist (Chris Fox) and brilliant promoters and organisers (Folk & Honey aka Jon & Lucy).
The second, a house concert, was utterly magical. I've never performed in an Inglenook Fireplace before - but it's definitely going on my list of concerts that I'll never forget!
There's a whole load of new dates coming up, so check out www.angehardy.com/gigs to see which is closest to you! The next one is in Bedford tomorrow and should be brilliant:
I'm also REALLY delighted to be able to announce that I'll be chatting with Sean Rafferty and performing three songs live on BBC Radio 3's live drive-time programme 'In Tune' on International Women's Day (Thursday 8th March) as part of a programme highlighting the repertoire of female composers.
Rather amusingly the email did start with "you might remember your last visit here - it was the time you accidentally brought your cat in the van....".
Oh yes...
We remember it well! :)
Last Monday I started back in the studio to begin work on a very exciting new project...
However, I'm going to post just about that in the next couple of days :)
Thank you again for all of your support, I hope to see you somewhere down the road!
Please do stay in touch!! I'm particularly useless at replying to things at the moment because of the combination of half-term and being-in-the-studio... but eventually I will get to the top of my inbox :p
