"June 2014 - Album of the Month: ‘The Lament of The Black Sheep’ by Ange Hardy "... another striking collection of self-penned songs"
I am thrilled to tell you that 'FolkWords' have announced my new album 'The Lament of The Black Sheep' their June 2014 'Album of the month'
"Album of the Month for June 2014 prompted the regular discussion among the team but this month's winner was, in the end, a unanimous decision. Contenders included the innovative ‘Small Defeats’ from Broken Boats, the self-titled album from Bright Season, the gentleness of ‘Menagerie’ from Kaela Rowan and the unbridled eclecticism of ‘The Boardroom’ from Monkey’s Fist. The top spot however belongs to Ange Hardy with ‘The Lament of The Black Sheep’.
Many musicians make journeys, some long, some difficult, others just plain damn hard. Those voyages often include people, places or situations that become catalysts to define the right of passage. “The journey makes the man” a philosopher once said. Well, setting aside any of his incipient misogyny, the journey in this case, makes the woman. And that makes her music."
Tim Carrol from Folkwords go on to review the album with glowing statements such as...
"You only have to listen to ‘The Lament of The Black Sheep’ to hear the living heart of folk music beating throughout."

Thank you FolkWords :-)
