After the madness of launch of the new album I am finally catching up with my radio plays this month, as always, please support these show by listening to them and sharing your thoughts with the presenters who put so much time and effort in to supporting the music world, they love your feedback as much as I do. Thanks again to everyone who has played a track this month of who has listened to the shows.
if you are a radio presenter/station and have recently played or are intending to play my songs and are not listed here, please do let me know and I will add the show to the list and do all I can to help promote the show.
I am hugely grateful to all the presenters for their time and support, each and every air play is so important to me and I want to do all I can to support your shows and keep the folk radio scene a vibrant and thriving one. What you do is priceless. Thank you!
I am extremely excited to be joining the incredible Johnny Coppin on his BBC show to talk about the release of my new album 'The Lament of The Black Sheep', I'll be playing the title track and his favourite track from the album 'The Woolgatherer'. It is a real privilege to have a chance to spend some time in such fine company and talk about one of the biggest events in my career so far! So, do tune in from 5.30pm on BBC Radio Gloucestershire :-)
We had a lovely chat about the new album 'The Lament of the Black Sheep', talking about it's roots and the journey of recording and releasing it, about my 'folk geekness' and all of the things you didn't know about the recording of the album!
Even though my voice was almost gone from the launch of the album just a few days before, I manage (just) to sing three songs from the album, 'The Tilling Bird, The Raising and The Letting Go and The Sailor's Farewell'.
One of my favourite interviews of the year, so have a listen and join us for a chin wag :-)
After joining the lovely Genevieve in her studio a few weeks back for a live session, Marion who chooses the '5 seconds of folk' feature each week, chose a track from my new album 'The Lament of The Black Sheep' to tease you all with, but which track did she choose?
...The full track is played at the end of the show :-)
